If I can get him to run up to me and take some cheese instead of running after another dog, I consider that a huge win. Keep up the good work, Lauren (and Zoe and Phee!)Kari Neumeyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08180248845656504546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3247022130749091471.post-68232260853852266362015-11-02T20:41:34.461-08:002015-11-02T20:41:34.461-08:00Great tips. I make her sit, heel, then sit again when we see another dog - sometimes she loses it though and can't hold that sit if it's a dog she especially hates/fears. So sometimes we work on sit/heel/sit when no other dogs are around, so she doesn't Jackie Bouchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05854479764528604256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3247022130749091471.post-8192170419529645072015-11-02T20:03:11.442-08:002015-11-02T20:03:11.442-08:00I always feel so guilty when I read posts about re...I always feel so guilty when I read posts about recall, because Ruby's is nonexistent. It's okay in the house, but we have so few opportunities to practice outside where she needs it most. Now that I have the 30 foot long line, I need to make it a priority. Core strengthening (sit pretty, dance, ect), formal heeling, eye contact, impulse control, recall, jumping through my legs, sending Nola off to pose on something with me a few yards away. I enjoy training them more when they're being active than any other time!Dachshund Nolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12050622761352753529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3247022130749091471.post-74729660046540492202015-11-02T16:10:28.923-08:002015-11-02T16:10:28.923-08:00Our person trains lots of Recall too! Ojo is very, very, very fast, and turns around very very very fast as well. To counter this I stick closer to my person so that she doesn't always beat me back for all the good stuff!

Our person also likes to train "go around" when we areJacobihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11435400757893853039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3247022130749091471.post-26781672827310673252015-11-02T15:15:23.081-08:002015-11-02T15:15:23.081-08:00Thanks for joining the hop! Loose leash walking we rarely do as Mom likes us to do our own things while walking and where we walk, we rarely run into anyone so it works well.My GBGV Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00281486885814998377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3247022130749091471.post-18838632500200349932015-11-02T11:26:49.440-08:002015-11-02T11:26:49.440-08:00We work on all those things while out and about to...We work on all those things while out and about too! We are rarely off leash but I work on recalls just whenever I notice all three dogs are distracted while walking on leash or when we are hanging out in our tiny yard. I think it is nice for dogs (and humans) to get a break from working but it is also important to always be ready for anything!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14410993180658480326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3247022130749091471.post-57789270358460529622015-11-02T10:10:45.347-08:002015-11-02T10:10:45.347-08:00FAB advice guys!FAB advice guys!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06239919473206923975noreply@blogger.com
