Bitey Face on Monday Mischief

Wait... you wanted pretty Christmas Photos!?! Me thinks not!! I'm just going to bite my sister's face so she doesn't get any treats!!

This is actually cued behavior but she's only supposed to bonk her with her nose. If you look closely, Phoenix is leaning into her. Phoenix is rewarded very well for putting up with her overly enthusiastic sister!! :D Don't feel too bad for Phoenix, you should see some of the crap Zoe has to put up with!!

I did manage to get a few good Christmas Photos, although they did get tired of it after a while! I've been practicing with my camera in full manual.

  1. Beautiful photos. Hey Zoe ..... I saw and played with a dog that looked EXACTLY like you at the beach today and guess what????? Her name was Zoe. We had great fun ..... she could ALMOST run as fast as me!!

  2. Isn't full manual fun? Mom is working on using it all the time in all kinds of lighting with no flash. It is challenging, but the photos are usually so much better...usually ;) You two are so cute and I love how you have the entire nose in your mouth!

    1. Yeah, I completely agree! Manual is fun!! We've been doing lots of photo shoots. The girls like it because they get lots of snacks. LOL

  6. Great photos! Bitey face is the best! Though unfortunately I am told that I haven't mastered the art of being gentle when I do it... one day at a time. :)

    1. I originally got the idea from Kikopup on YouTube, her dog Kiko will poke the other dogs on the muzzle to give them a "kiss". I decided to teach it to Zoe but Zoe kept doing muzzle grabs so I ended up with that instead, lol. It's basically just teaching targeting and not too difficult if the second dog doesn't mind. :D

  11. Aww. Cute. Great shots. And it looks like both dogs were having a fun time!

And I love that the bite was actually a cued behavior!

  14. That cracks me up. We were a one dog household for quite a while and when we got a second dog, the first time Maggie put Kobi's whole head in her mouth it just made us laugh!!
