At least her "shoes" match her jacket!
I hope the grass dries out for a bit! It's supposed to be cloudy/sunny this week. She is getting really tired of the booties. She only wears them outside but it definitely puts a damper on any fun, poor puppy! On the bright side, that paw is starting to look a lot better since I'm keeping it clean and dry.
Another not so fun thing!! Phoenix managed to slice one of her back legs open at my apartment complex's dog run. SIGH. It's not very deep but it's about half the length from her ankle to her hock. I was watching her the whole time so I have no idea how it happened. It's not bad enough to require stitches but it is sore. Poor thing. I cleaned it out and she's okay... but yeah.. Fun way to start the week!
Oh man, things always happen in bunches. Hope your bunch is small. Maybe a few days of laziness and rest will help them both recover and you all can start fresh.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm hoping so, too!
DeleteOh bummer on the foot/leg issues. I wonder if it was a sharp bit of fencing. I always worry about that in our runs (unlikely but I worry....lol). Hope all foot issues will be resolved soon!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's so weird!! Zoe's feet we've been dealing with since we got her but Phoenix keeps getting weird injuries. She's the more active one of the two so I should probably expect it but I always feel bad for her.
DeleteYour poor girls! Barley sliced her back leg open once, too--and I didn't even notice until it was already scabbed over--she hadn't been out of my sight for days when it happened, so I totally understand not knowing how they get into these situations sometimes. Hope the grass dries out and gives you a break soon!
ReplyDeleteAwe poor Barley!! I hate it when I find injuries! I always feel so bad for them. It's supposed to be sunny all this week and then start raining again next week. I'm so bummed out.
DeleteWhat a cool jacket design! I love the way it closes like wings. Heal quickly, Phe!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! We got them from Dox and Dane on Etsy! :D
DeleteKilo can't stand booties either!
ReplyDeleteI love the boots. I wish I would have started Harley earlier. When I did try to introduce them to her, she fell out and refused to walk. It was a sight. So sorry to hear of Phoenix's injury.
ReplyDeleteAwe poor Harley! LOL Zoe does the same thing for the first 5 minutes every time we put them on!
DeleteIts bootie hell. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteSorry about the leg slice! Hope it heals quickly!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Me too!
DeletePoor babies. Hope they get better real soon!
ReplyDeleteChewy always seems to look extra happy when his boots fall off while we're still outside!
Thanks!! Yeah, Zoe too!! LOL
DeleteCould she have cut it on some glass? There's glass fragments everywhere around here.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so! I'm leaning towards it being from the fence. She was bouncing around near the fence the most. They just installed the dog park the area is all bark chips and grass.
DeletePoor girls! Hope they feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh ouch!!! Hope things turn around for you guys soon!
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Oh man, when it rains it pours. I hope that everyone in your pack is on the mend very soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, man, that's not good mischief! Hope Phoenix heals up quickly and you get some dry weather for Zoe's poor feet!
