If Looks Could Kill...

I'd probably be dead! Zoe was not all that thrilled about us spending two hours at the river last night! She would much rather be hunting bunnies than learning how to swim. Even worse!! Abuse! Abuse! I put her back on the leash before she could kill anything. So sad! I know.

We did manage to get Zoe swimming. She wasn't that happy about it. She really didn't want to get her tail wet. I'm thinking about getting her a life jacket so she can get more confidence. She's very scared of swimming. Poor girl!

She's much happier hanging out on the beach!

  2. Well, she's a pretty girl and that counts for a lot. Some dogs love to swim, and others not so much. Some dogs can't swim at all.

Have a woof woof day you two. My best to your mom. ☺

  5. Bailie and I would jump in and swim with them. Katie just doesn't like water, so no luck with her. It would be a tough decision...wabbits or swimming...I would most likely swim first to cool off and then be energized for my wabbit hunting.

  6. Check our Ruffwears lifejacket, we just picked it up for Ziva and I love it!! It really helps her swim. :-)

  7. Hailey (who has locked herself up because it has been raining and she is convinced thunder is coming too) is also scared of swimming. She paddles in but doesn't swim. If you find a way to make Zoe a swimmer, let me know, I would love Lee to swim. (We have our own beach . . . ok we share with 2 other families, so mostly our own beach!). Keeping Phod out of the water is our issue!

  8. I bet she'd feel better with a life jacket! It really helped Olivia's confidence with swimming. She still doesn't like it and won't get in willingly like Nola, but she's not scared of it anymore.

  9. Some dogs just don't take to water. I do wonder if the vest wouldn't help and give her some confidence. Keep us posted on her progress!
