The Honest Kitchen "Marvel" Review

Happy Tasty Tuesday everyone! Today I have a review on The Honest Kitchen's newest food Marvel! Marvel is a limited ingredient diet that has only 6 ingredients (plus vitamins and minerals)! This food is formulated for adult and senior dogs. It would be perfect for a pup who suffers from allergies. My girls don't have any allergy problems but they always love trying new stuff and since they are on a rotational diet this food is just fine for them! We received our box of Marvel in exchange for an honest review.

About Marvel:
The Honest Kitchen Marvel dog food is grain-free and potato-free. Marvel contains just six whole food ingredients, plus vitamins and minerals: cage-free turkey, parsnip, navy beans, organic coconut, pumpkin, and parsley. Marvel is perfect for adult dogs who need a limited ingredient pet food. Premium single source protein is the #1 ingredient.

Ingredients: Cage-free turkey, parsnip, navy bean, organic coconut, pumpkin, parsley, tricalcium phosphate, choline chloride, zinc amino acid chelate, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, potassium iodide, potassium chloride, iron amino acid chelate, copper amino acid chelate, thiamine mononitrate.

Just like all of the other recipes from The Honest Kitchen, this one is dehydrated and you need to add water to it. This one requires a lot less water than what we were used to with their other formulas so it did take some adjusting on my part to get the consistency right for the girls. I think I used about half the water that was recommended for the food on the box.

Zoe and Phoenix have really enjoyed everything they've gotten from The Honest Kitchen so far and Marvel was no exception! The food smells amazing when you open it and you can actually see bits of turkey in it! It's also nice knowing that the turkey was sourced from animals who were raised humanely in a cage-free environment. The girls had no tummy issues from this food and I would get it again!

I would definitely recommend checking The Honest Kitchen out! We are frequent customers!

ZoePhee received our box of Marvel in exchange for an honest review. We were not monetarily compensated. The Honest Kitchen is not responsible for the content of this blog post.

  1. We haven't really tried this food, but everyone raves about it. It is supposed to be very good food. We like to stick to one brand and rotate their flavors rather than switching brands. With treats, we are all over the map.

  2. Sounds like good stuff. We still prefer to make our own since we have the makings here on the farm.

    1. Thanks! We are not sure if they are littermates. We adopted them separately about a year apart! :D

  5. Great review! I'm glad THK has come out with something a bit higher protein than their usual formulas.

  6. I seriously considered THK back when I was making decisions about Shyla's food... but it was so expensive that I decided against it. Perhaps that has changed in the past 3 years? It sure seems like a great food.
