Keeping My Dogs Busy with Chews from Raw Paws!

Phoenix enjoys a bully stick from Raw Paws
Phoenix loves bully sticks!

Do your dogs follow you from room to room? Maybe you are busy trying to survive the great snow apocalypse and your dog is bored out of her mind? Winter is here and the potential to get stir crazy with all this horrible weather is pretty high! My dogs hate the cold and they dislike being wet even more. Forget about taking them out for very long in bad weather. It's just unpleasant for everyone. When that happens, I need to find a way to keep my dogs busy for a while. I was so excited when Raw Paws contacted me to ask me if I'd like to review some items from their store. We were sent our chews in exchange for an honest review.

Zoe enjoys her Beef Braided Esophagus

Beef Braided Esophagus

The Beef Braided Esophagus is a soft "chewy" sort of chew. This was our first time trying this sort of treat and the girls really liked them!

These treats come in a pack of three and they are 12" long. They are sourced from USDA inspected beef and they are appropriate for dogs of any age. They are soft so they can be cut up into smaller pieces!

Phoenix enjoys her Jumbo Bully Stick!

Bully Sticks 6" Jumbo

Wow! They are not kidding when they said jumbo! These bully sticks are huge and they are probably the biggest ones we've ever gotten! Bully sticks are one of our favorite chews around here and they are a great alternative to rawhide because unlike rawhide, bully sticks are 100% digestible. Phoenix can't have any rawhide because she has a very sensitive GI tract and rawhide really isn't that great for dogs anyways. The bully sticks are awesome, the dogs love them and they last a really long time. It took Phoenix around an hour to finish hers and it took Zoe about an hour and a half! I also love giving bully sticks to the dogs for the added benefit of helping keep their teeth clean.

The bully sticks come in packs of 2 or 5. They are a single ingredient treat and are made from free range, grass fed beef. There are no added hormones or any antibiotics and they are grain free. The bully sticks are supposed to be low odor but the ones we got are very stinky. The smell was really bad but the dogs love them so much that it was worth it.

Zoe chows down on a Beef Braided Esophagus!

Both of the girls loved their chews from Raw Paws and they did not have any tummy issues after having them. I am incredibly impressed by the bully sticks and how long they kept my dogs busy. I would totally get both of these again!

Raw Paws has a huge selection of food, treats and chews. I would recommend checking them out!

We were provided with chews from Raw Paws in exchange for an honest review and we were not monetarily compensated. All opinions are my own. Raw Paws is not responsible for the content of this blog post.

  2. We love Raw Paws. We always have dehydrated ears or beef esophagus chews in our drawer. Their bundle deals are wonderful.

  3. My guys LOVE bully sticks!! But the smell ... oh my!! I can't handle it so they only get them outside or if they've been in for several days because of the weather I'll suck it up and deal with the smell to give them something to do.

    1. Yeah, the smell often gets me too! These ones were probably the stinkiest yet but the dogs love them so much. Phoenix can't have very many other chews because of her tummy issues so we put up with the stink. LOL

  4. Yes, Shiner definitely follows me around! I like to give her chewy stuff when I catch her licking her paws. We've had some of their Buffalo Ears before and they were delicious. (So I hear)

    1. That's a wonderful way to redirect her from licking her paws! Great job!

  5. What a great and honest review. We loved to get different chews for Little Bit. Sometimes it would take her a long time to eat one too. She was a pretty big dog though and she loved her treats and chews.

Your babies are adorable. The camera loves both of them.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  6. I love Raw Paws; I order chews and novelty (to me) proteins from them. I have a huge stock of bully sticks that I've ordered over time to save up for the winter and they come in handy. I just wish they lasted longer with our bunch, but oh well.

They don't follow me from room to room immediately, but give 'em 30 minutes and they'll make it to the room I'm in one at a time. If I'm making food (or eating food), they move a lot faster.

  10. I am squeamish and I don't give my dogs a lot of chews that look like animal parts (ears, hooves, trachea, etc.) but the braided esophagus looks okay in the photos. I am sure my dogs wish I would just get over it and give them the good stuff.
