More Frisbee Fun!

This week I am sad to report that we did a horrible job with exercise and I definitely need to get back into a routine. Most of this week was all leash walks with a few sessions of fetch and frisbee at the park that's closest to our apartment. We also had some play time in the little off leash area in our apartment too but no big adventures. Which I'm pretty sad about!

Phoenix is still afraid to catch the hard plastic discs so we are using the fabric ones. Fabric discs don't fly very well but she does love chasing a rolling one!

Hopefully we can get back into our fitness routine soon!

Did you go on any new adventures this week?

  1. Our weather is so lousy and messy, we do our usual walks, sports, and yard stuff but no new adventures because it is a mess outside.

  2. Don't wait to long - the longer you go the harder it is to get back to the routine!

  3. Jaxson would love to catch a frisbee - in fact I've even seen it in action before. The problem is .... I can't throw a frisbee to save my soul LOL #needlessons

  4. Some weeks we seem to get everything done and then some, and other weeks we fall a bit short. Life happens.

Have a woof woof day you two. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺

  5. Cute pictures! We didn't have a great week for exercise, either. We had an awesome day on Saturday and a pretty good day Sunday, but then the rest of the week it was either really cold, really cold and wet, really cold and snowy, or I had to work late, so we had all neighborhood walks that were pretty short. Hopefully we'll all get good adventuring weather and schedules soon!

  6. Neither of my dogs like to play Frisbee but my German Shepherd was obsessed with it. Nothing much exciting around her although we did switch up our walking trail. That was fun with many new scents.

  7. Neither one of my dogs ever liked Frisbees, except for chewing. Delilah loves to chew the Frisbee. :-)

As for adventures...mostly our lives are fairly routine, but I wanted Sampson to have a little excitement, so I drove him up to the park so he could get a change of venue.

  9. How great, that is how Goose learned to love Frisbee we used the soft disks! Now Goose used the Jaws by Hypreflite, we did try the cheap plastic ones from the pet stores but he hated them even now he will not go for a cheap plastic Frisbee. Check out the SofFlite flying disc is ultra-soft for dogs with sensitive mouths great for a transition to the hard disks.

  10. We have had so many problems with being in routine the past few weeks. The weather has been terrible here. We have had like 5 days too cold, 2 too snowy/slippery . . . . we did some nosey dog work this week to help!

  11. She really does love that!

Have you tried the HyperFlite Puppy/SofFlite disc? It's plastic, but bendy and pliable. It's intended for puppies or dogs with super sensitive mouths. It's the only one I can use for Pike besides the one Phee has. I can twist in and bend it, and it doesn't spook him.

  12. You've had a big change this week with your new job so it's understandable that you need some time to find your new routine. For us, we've done nothing remarkable (but we did receive our hurta coat!!!!!).

  13. You do great with your girls, so you should probably give yourself a break. :) We are doing awful lately, though we still at least get exercise out in the yard daily. We've been intermittent with walks. Once things settle down and we move to the new house we're going to have all kinds of new places to explore and play!
