Nature's Logic Review!

"I'm hungry! Let's Eat!"

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fantastic day! Today I have a dog food review for you. We were excited when Nature's Logic asked us to try their food. I've heard wonderful things about this company. We actually tried a few samples of the food a few months ago when Zoe wasn't feeling well and it was the only thing we could get her to eat.

Nature's Logic is a company that provides pet owners with a variety of top notch pet foods, treats and supplements. They were founded in 2006 by Scott Freeman. Scott wanted to develop a pet food that focused on the benefits of whole food nutrition without using added synthetic supplements that other food companies use. Since nothing like this had ever been created, Scott sent the food for AAFCO feeding trials to have them substantiated for All Life Stages. They passed with flying colors. The ultimate goal of Nature’s Logic is to provide the most nutritious and safest product that people can feel good about feeding their canine and feline family.

All of food from Nature's Logic are 100% natural and free of common allergens. There are no synthetic vitamins or minerals.

Nature's Logic receives a 5 Star rating from Dog Food Advisor

Nature’s Logic Canine Venison Meal Feast is a blend of Venison meal from New Zealand combined with Nature Logic's concentrate of dried vegetables and fruits. It’s ideal for dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds.

Nature’s Logic Canine Rabbit Meal Feast is a blend of rabbit meal from European-raised rabbits combined with Nature Logic's exclusive concentrate of dried vegetables and fruits. It’s ideal for dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds.

Both of the dogs really enjoyed the food we tried from Nature's Logic, even Zoe, who is super picky! They both did really well on the food. I really like that the food is all natural and doesn't contain any synthetic vitamins or minerals. I'm really happy with how the dogs did on it and we will definitely be getting this food again. I would recommend checking them out!

ZoePhee was provided with samples of Nature's Logic dog food in exchange for an honest review. We were not monetarily compensated and all opinions are my own!

Gather Dog Food by Petcurean Review!

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great week! Today we are reviewing an awesome new dog food called Gather by Petcurean.

Petcurean is a fantastic company where they create premium quality, nutrient-rich food for both dogs and cats. They also offer a selection of all natural treats as well! The company was started when two good friends got together and decided to open a small family owned operation in Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. They were driven by the idea that pets deserved better food that was made with the same love and care as we put into preparing meals for our own families.

Petcurean's idea behind Gather was to create a pet food that is made using certified and organic ingredients. They wanted to make a pet food that is perfectly blended and balanced to provide our pets with a food that is of premium quality and all natural. They did this by inspecting farms and hopping onto boats with fishermen. The farmers and fishers that were practicing the most responsible, sustainable production of extraordinary quality, certified and organic ingredients were the only ones that survived Petcurean's scrutiny. These farmers and fishers became their trusted partners and in GATHER; functional, whole food from the earth and ocean, with nothing added that’s not needed was created.

Zoe and Phoenix were super excited when we received our samples of Gather! We decided to try Wild Ocean and Free Acres.

Wild Ocean is made from fresh line-caught cod, pulled from the cold, clean waters off the coast of Alaska. Cod is an excellent source of protein, and provides essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The cod in Wild Ocean comes from one of the world’s best managed, most sustainable fisheries; the food is blended with krill, peas, lentils, chickpeas and other essential ingredients to provide a healthy meal for an adult dog.

Ingredients: Cod, dehydrated cod, peas, chickpeas, lentils, organic sunflower oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols), krill meal, organic flaxseed, kale, carrots, egg shell meal, choline chloride, vitamins (vitamin A supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, inositol, niacin, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (a source of vitamin C), d-calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), minerals (zinc proteinate, iron proteinate, copper proteinate, manganese proteinate, calcium iodate, selenium yeast), dried rosemary.

Free Acres is a delicious recipe that is sustainably produced, certified organic and the chickens are free-run. The chicken in this food is the single source of poultry protein. Petcurean has also included other wholesome foods such as organic peas, lentils, krill, organic flaxseed, blueberries and cranberries.

Ingredients: Organic chicken, organic dehydrated chicken, organic peas, lentils, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), krill meal, organic flaxseed, blueberries, cranberries, egg shell meal, vitamins (vitamin A supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, inositol, niacin, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (a source of vitamin C), d-calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), minerals (zinc proteinate, iron proteinate, copper proteinate, manganese proteinate, calcium iodate, selenium yeast), dried rosemary.

These foods do not contain any antibiotics or growth hormones, no by-products, no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors, no GMOs and absolutely no wheat, corn or soy.

Both of the girls really liked this food, although they preferred the Wild Ocean formula. I think it's because we don't often get fish so they were extra excited by it. They did great on this food and I would get it again. I would recommend checking Gather out!

Brothers Complete Premium Dog Food: New Look, Same Great Taste!

"Hurry up and feed me!"

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today we're excited to talk to you guys about one of our favorite brands: Brothers Complete Dog Food! Recently Brothers Complete updated their packaging on their dog food and asked us if we'd like to do another review! We've done a couple of reviews for them in the past and it's always been a wonderful experience. They are an amazing small family-owned company that caters their products to dogs who may suffer from food allergies. They have top notch customer service and are always friendly and helpful! Brothers Complete receives a 5 Star rating on Dog Food Advisor and we definitely agree!

Zoe and Phoenix are fed a rotational diet and we were happy to work Brothers Complete in! We received our food in exchange for an honest review.

New Look, Same Great Taste!

Brothers Complete offers four different formulas: Lamb & Egg, Venison & Egg, Chicken & Egg and
Turkey & Egg.

I really appreciate that Brothers Complete has a variety of different proteins. If your pup has food sensitivities you can pick the food with the protein that will work best for them. Zoe and Phoenix do not have food sensitivities but I sympathize with anyone who is going through it with their dog as we have suffered through it with our cat in the past. It can definitely be a struggle to find something that works and it's nice to know there's a company out there that recognizes that some pets have special needs.

Brothers Complete have designed their kibble with high levels of protein, and over 90% of it is species appropriate animal based protein. They only use ingredients that are sourced in the USA. Brothers Complete includes "selective prebiotics" and "encapsulated probiotics" combined with digestive enzymes, nutrients, and ingredients that are intricately balanced in relation to one another (instead of random quantities that simply fall somewhere in between the high and low limits that AAFCO recommends). Brothers Complete uses eggs in all of their formulas. Eggs are great because they contain all 22 amino acids! They are the only protein source that is 100% bioavailable, which means the body uses them completely!

All of their dog food formulas are grain and potato free! Grains and potatoes tend to be problematic for dogs so it's awesome that they don't include them in their foods.

Brothers Complete has very high standards for their foods, not only do they make their food in small batches, they are also very careful how the food is stored. They do not allow their food to sit around in hot warehouses, like most companies. The warehouse at Brothers Complete are air conditioned to make sure that the food maintains it's freshness and nutritional bioavailability.

In addition to their wonderful line of dog foods, Brothers Complete also offers a variety of "allergy friendly" treats and chews. We recently reviewed their high protein biscuits and you can find that by clicking here: High Protein Biscuits or you can find them on the Brothers Complete website here: Brothers Complete Shop All

Overall I am still very impressed with Brothers Complete! I really appreciate their care and attention to detail when making products for our dogs. My dogs really liked the food and they are doing really well on it. They also love their biscuits and the chews we've gotten from them in the past, too. I would highly recommend checking them out!

Give Your Dog The Taste of Turkey with Spring Naturals!

Zoe

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fantastic day!

Today I have a review for you on Spring Naturals! We were so excited when were asked to review this food, especially with Thanksgiving on the way!

Turkey Day is almost here and some dogs like Phoenix are sensitive to all the rich foods and are unable to participate in the festivities with people food. Don't worry, though! Spring Naturals has you covered with their Turkey Dinner! That way your beloved pooch can still have the taste of turkey and you can feel like they are part of the celebration!

They also have beef, chicken, lamb and salmon dry formulas available. They also offer a variety of wet foods, too. If you happen to be a cat, that's not a problem! They have kitty food!

Spring Naturals Turkey Dinner is completely balanced, grain free and contains a savory blend of real turkey, whole vegetables and whole fruits. Real turkey is the first ingredient, plus the food also has a combination of protein sources like whole chickpeas, green peas and eggs. The food does not contain any beef, chicken, turkey, lamb or fish meals of any kind.

There is absolutely no wheat, gluten, corn, soy, by-products, artificial preservatives, flavors or colors!

Ingredients: Turkey, chickpeas, peas, dried eggs, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), dicalcium phosphate, sun-cured alfalfa, flaxseed, sweet potatoes, natural flavors, salt, spinach, tomato pomace, calcium carbonate, blueberries, cranberries, apricots, carrots, potassium chloride, zinc proteinate, iron proteinate, copper proteinate, manganese proteinate, sodium selenite, calcium iodate, vitamin E supplement, thiamine mononitrate, niacin supplement, calcium pantothenate, biotin, vitamin A supplement, riboflavin supplement, vitamin B12 supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, vitamin D3 supplement, folic acid, chicory root extract, dandelion greens, mixed tocopherols (preservative), rosemary extract, choline chloride.

Spring Naturals gets a 4 star rating on Dog Food Advisor!

Phoenix

Phoenix does have a sensitive tummy and she will often have a reaction to rich people food, so I am happy that she can still be a part of our Thanksgiving with Spring Naturals without getting sick.

Zoe

We feed a rotational diet with the girls and they are both doing extremely well on Spring Naturals! We have not had any tummy upsets and even Zoe who is picky with food at times has been eating this food without me having to coax her. Spring Naturals Turkey Dinner is a great dog food and I would recommend checking it out!

Brothers Complete Premium Dog Food Review

Hi everyone! Happy Tasty Tuesday to you! Today I am really excited because I have a review for you on a new brand called Brothers Complete! Brothers Complete makes dog food, they offer 4 different formulas (3 out of 4 cater to pets with allergies) and they also have a great selection of treats! Brothers Complete has a 5 STAR rating on Dog Food Advisor!

Zoe and Phoenix are fed a rotational diet and we were happy to work Brothers Complete in! We received our food and treats in exchange for an honest review.

Sorry for the glare, their packaging is a bit difficult to photograph!

 About Brothers Complete

Brothers Complete is a small family-owned and operated business! The Brothers Complete family made the decision to create their own kibble as a result of their experience running a successful dog food store in Florida, where they observed the recurring problems that affected so many dogs who eat commercial food. After years of research running elimination diets with their customer's dogs in an effort to find solutions to the sensitivities the dogs had, they decided to take matters into their own hands and make the healthiest kibble possible themselves. As a starting point they eliminated all grain, potato, and sugar that their elimination diets had shown to have a negative impact on the animals health and well being. They designed their kibble with high levels of protein, and over 90% of it is species appropriate animal based protein. They use ingredients that are sourced in the USA. Brothers Complete includes "selective prebiotics" and "encapsulated probiotics" combined with digesztive enzymes, nutrients, and ingredients that are intricately balanced in relation to one another (instead of random quantities that simply fall somewhere in between the high and low limits that AAFCO recommends).

Brothers Complete offers four different formulas: Venison & Egg, Turkey & Egg, Chicken & Egg and Lamb & Egg.

Having a variety of different proteins is great because if your pup has food sensitivities you can pick the food that will work best for them! The girls do not have food sensitivities but I sympathize with anyone who is going through it with their dog! Our kitty has really bad food allergies so we know your pain! It can be really tough finding a food that works well.

Zoe was so excited about trying this food that she couldn't hold her stay. She just started eating!

Both girls really enjoyed the food! They did very well on it, too! No tummy upsets and no itching.

Brothers Complete also offers a variety of treats and chewies! Their treats also cater to dogs with food sensitivities! Just like their food, their treats do not contain any grain, white potato or sugar.
They have biscuits, dehydrated chicken or sweat potato treats and a variety of bully sticks!

Phoenix wants me to hurry up and take the photo so she can eat the biscuits!

Buffalo Biscuits

Zoe tries Dehydrated Sweet Potato

The Dehydrated Sweet Potato was a huge hit!

Overall I am really impressed with Brothers Complete! I really appreciate their care and attention to detail when making products for our dogs. My dogs really liked all of the items we got and they did great on the food! I really wish they'd make an allergy-friendly cat food!

I would definitely recommend checking out Brothers Complete and giving them a try! You won't be disappointed!

The Honest Kitchen "Marvel" Review

Happy Tasty Tuesday everyone! Today I have a review on The Honest Kitchen's newest food Marvel! Marvel is a limited ingredient diet that has only 6 ingredients (plus vitamins and minerals)! This food is formulated for adult and senior dogs. It would be perfect for a pup who suffers from allergies. My girls don't have any allergy problems but they always love trying new stuff and since they are on a rotational diet this food is just fine for them! We received our box of Marvel in exchange for an honest review.

About Marvel:
The Honest Kitchen Marvel dog food is grain-free and potato-free. Marvel contains just six whole food ingredients, plus vitamins and minerals: cage-free turkey, parsnip, navy beans, organic coconut, pumpkin, and parsley. Marvel is perfect for adult dogs who need a limited ingredient pet food. Premium single source protein is the #1 ingredient.

Ingredients: Cage-free turkey, parsnip, navy bean, organic coconut, pumpkin, parsley, tricalcium phosphate, choline chloride, zinc amino acid chelate, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, potassium iodide, potassium chloride, iron amino acid chelate, copper amino acid chelate, thiamine mononitrate.

Just like all of the other recipes from The Honest Kitchen, this one is dehydrated and you need to add water to it. This one requires a lot less water than what we were used to with their other formulas so it did take some adjusting on my part to get the consistency right for the girls. I think I used about half the water that was recommended for the food on the box.

Zoe and Phoenix have really enjoyed everything they've gotten from The Honest Kitchen so far and Marvel was no exception! The food smells amazing when you open it and you can actually see bits of turkey in it! It's also nice knowing that the turkey was sourced from animals who were raised humanely in a cage-free environment. The girls had no tummy issues from this food and I would get it again!

I would definitely recommend checking The Honest Kitchen out! We are frequent customers!

TruFood is their newest formula of  food and treats. All of the tasty products in this line are slow baked in small batches and have 70% more raw protein than typical dry food and treats!

Click each title to be taken to the page with the ingredients list.

Adult - Lamb, Chickpeas & Turkey Liver Recipe

Wellness combines lamb, turkey hearts and livers and fiber-rich chickpeas with antioxidant-rich superfoods like beets, blueberries and real air-dried fruits and vegetables for this grain-free dog food. Wholesome sources of Omega fatty acids like chicken fat and flaxseed can support joint health and a beautiful coat.

  • Carefully blended, nutrient-dense whole foods
  • No meat by-products, potato, wheat, corn or soy fillers or artificial colors, preservatives and flavors
  • Slow baked in small batches for 70% more raw protein than typical kibble diets
  • Contains probiotics, coconut oil, chia seeds and other ingredients such as turmeric, ginger and parsley to promote healthy digestion and overall vitality

The girls really enjoyed trying the dry food! They were both very enthusiastic about eating it and they did not have any tummy issues. I really like that it's slow baked in small batches. Slow baking helps to retain the vitamins and minerals and making it in small batches is helpful for quality control. I also really liked the seal on this packaging. I've never encountered a food before that had a velcro sort of seal on the bag. It definitely made my life easier! No fighting with the bag to get it closed!

CocoChia Bakes - with Lamb, Purple Carrot and Coconut Oil

Wellness make super delicious superfood snacks with tasty, healthy Living Nutrition™ like hearty lamb, turkey hearts and livers and sweet, antioxidant-rich purple carrots. Wellness packs TruFood CocoChia Bakes with coconut oil and chia seeds that can support skin, coat and joint health.

  • Slow-baked for more raw protein
  • Naturally colored by purple carrots and other superfoods with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives
  • 100% natural dog treats
  • Grain-free and wheat-free

The girls absolutely loved the CocoChia treats they got! These are a small biscuit type treat. They are bite size and perfect for the girls! Finding dog treats that they love, that are also healthy and good for them can be tough so I'm glad we were able to try these! They were definitely a hit and I would get them again!

TruFood Tasty Pairings Wet Food - Pumpkin, Lamb & Duck, Chicken, Carrots & Duck

Wellness makes TruFood wet dog food from whole-prey proteins like: chicken, lamb, salmon, cod, beef and duck. It’s just delicious diced proteins and vegetables and is grain free! The food contains 70% more raw protein than similar wet foods and is full of vitamins and antioxidants.

  • Contains pure protein and antioxidant-rich superfoods
  • No wheat, corn or soy fillers
  • No meat by-products or artificial preservatives, colors or flavors
  • Easy-open cup makes plating exciting for dogs

Pumpkin Lamb & Duck

Chicken Carrots & Duck

The girls were so excited when I opened these packets of food and they really enjoyed them! I liked that you could actually see the real meat and vegetables in it! The only downside to this wet food is that you have to feed 3 containers per 6lbs of body weight if you were to just feed wet food. That might be okay for a small dog but it would get really expensive for a big dog. So what I did was mix their TruFood dry food that they got with it. The girls liked it so much, that I would get these again and just mix it like I did. Or I might try putting them in food tube for training.

We were very happy with all of the things we got from Wellness and I would recommend checking out their TruFood!
