Writing ZoePhee - Writing Process Blog Tour!

I am so excited to be doing the "Writing Process Blog Tour"! It's a post that's been going around the blog community for a few weeks and invites tagged bloggers to answer three questions on their writing process. Then you tag three other bloggers to continue to tour. I've really liked reading about how other bloggers write their blogs and it's also very inspiring to me since my blog is so young. It's a great way to get to know other people, too!

If you're tagged, all you have to do is link back to your tagger and say a little about them, answer the three questions, and invite three other people to join and talk a little about why you enjoy their blogs. Invitees are encouraged to get their posts out within a week or two of their Inviter's post.

I was invited to join the tour by my close friend, Amanda the author of  Dachshund Nola!! Dachshund Nola is an absolutely awesome blog about a gorgeous dachshund named Nola and her various minion housemates. One of my favorite things about Nola is her wonderful fashion sense. That girl has some of the most beautiful collars around!! I love the wit, sarcasm and minion shaming. She has some of the best reviews, too.. Her photography is gorgeous and she usually always puts the camera settings on her photos so anyone who is learning can learn from her. She also feeds homemade food and there's a lot of great information on her blog on how she does it. I've learned a lot from reading her blog and I highly recommend it!

This photo is Copyrighted and belongs to Dachshund Nola.
Please do not use it without her permission.

 Now the questions:

1. What am I working on?
I just finished an extensive project. Zoe's Gotcha Birthday Movie and Blog Post. It was a massive undertaking. The movie alone took over 15 hours to create, with all the photos, video clips, editing, animation and text. The blog post took around 10 hours to write over the course of several days. She's a very special girl and I wanted to make sure that I conveyed that properly. My next big project will be Phoenix's Gotcha/Birthday coming up in October. Between now and then I have tons of little ideas for blog posts. I absolutely love doing the blog hops every week and I try to stick with those themes. I'm also trying to work out different aspects of the blog, creating new pages and I'm constantly editing my content. I want to keep it as up to date as possible with all the latest and greatest dog and cat stuff.

2. Why do I write what I do?
I wanted to start a blog for a very long time. I just didn't know where to begin. The hardest part was figuring out what to call it. Once I had the name it was easier to start. I've always liked writing, photography and sharing my knowledge about animals with others and I think the blog is the perfect way to do that. I also love how welcoming everyone in the pet blog community has been! It's been amazing. Everyone is so kind and helpful.

3. How does my writing process work?
Since my blog is so new, I've been doing a lot of the blog hops. It's so nice to have a theme that I can work with, starting out. Another thing I do is flick through some of the photos of my dogs while I listen to music to get some inspiration. My mind goes in tons of different directions, usually all at once, so when an idea pops into my head I grab my phone and immediately start a draft post. I have tons of these little draft posts that need to get written. I also get inspiration from real life situations with my dogs. When I'm ready to write a blog post I sit down with Phoenix curled up next to me (she's more cuddly than Zoe, but sometimes Zoe, too) and we listen to more music while I write. As of this posting, we have limited space so I am usually writing on my laptop on my bed.

That's my writing process!

On to my nominations. I'm going to invite the following bloggers to do this tour if they want to:

Rubicon Days
Rubicon Days is written by my friend, Lara. It chronicles her life and experiences with her reactive dog, Ruby and her Bahamian (potcake) rescue dog, Boca. Lara is an advocate for rescue, fostering and Force Free Training. Her blog has wonderful stories about her dogs, product reviews and much more! I love these ginger girls!

Life with Seppel
Life with Seppel is written by my friend, Suzanne. It's the story of her journey with her first pit bull Seppel her other dogs, Seth and Lilo and Napolean her cat. Seppel is the main focus of her blog and his story is amazing. I love how honest Suzanne's posts are and her dogs are so sweet!

The Enlightened Canine
The Enlightened Canine is written by my friend, Amanda. Her dogs, Kira and Kovu are just as cute as can be! Amanda is focused on science, ethics, and force free training. I absolutely love how thorough her blog posts are. Amanda is a crossover trainer, just like me and her stories are fascinating.

I'm also joining the Pet Parade Blog Hop, today! This is one of my most favorite hops and I encourage everyone to check out the other blogs posted.
