Windy Walks on Fit Dog Friday!

My husband took the dogs out to Thousand Acres for a fun windy walk! I stayed home because I haven't been feeling that great this week. The girls were very confused about their Dad taking them! They even took off to look for me! The walk went pretty well once they figured out that it was just him and that he had some treats for them!

I do try to have him take the dogs out occasionally without me because I feel it's important for them to listen to him and be okay with him telling them what to do.

After the initial confusion they did really well and all three of them had a great time! Come back on Monday to read about the mischief they got into! :)

  1. Crikey ...... are you ok now?? I sure hope so. My Dad sometimes takes me out without Mum but not very often. It's confusing for me too but we have a great time once I understand that Mum's not going to be there.

    1. Not quite but thanks for asking! I have a chronic vertigo problem that flares up. It's pretty miserable. :(

  2. I totally know what you mean about the other human in the house being able to control the dogs. I don't have an as-willing participant in my house though lol.

    1. For sure!! Mine can be unwilling at times! It just really depends on the day. LOL

  3. Whilst my Man is very capable, I have issues with 'letting' ('ark at me!!) him walk Willow! It's OK with Harvey, but after Willow's running away - I just can't bring myself to let anyone else walk her! I hope that changes soon!

    1. I used to feel that way when we first got Phoenix because she was so skittish but she's gotten so much better now that I don't really worry any more but I definitely understand what you're saying!! I've totally been there!

  7. Sorry you aren't feeling so great, Lauren--hopefully it passes quickly. Mom and I were at 1000 Acres this afternoon also. And, yes, it was way too windy, but it's the Gorge (or almost). To be expected....

  8. We are definitely better listeners with Mom. Its because she is home more often with us and takes me to class. We try to get away with stuff because Dad is a little bit of a softie. We love him so much, we should try to listen better!

  9. That's great they got to run. We are always with Mom, so when others want to walk us we don't always want to go along. Katie is especially cautious about it and often won't even go to the bathroom for a day or two unless Mom is the one walking her. Changing it up with others is important. Hope you feel better.

  11. For our dogs they usually listen just fine to me if hubby is not around, otherwise I am chopped liver, (and not is a dog treat kind of way :) ). Glad they were able to get out and enjoy. Hope you are feeling better.
