So this week we didn't have a very good workout week. I had really bad vertigo for a few days. I generally get vertigo chronically (most like caused by Meniere's Disease) and when I have it, it can be crippling. Getting out of bed becomes the biggest challenge of the day because the room is just constantly spinning and my mobility is seriously compromised. It's also exhausting. Walking the girls very far just wasn't possible. They got their potty walks and my husband did chip in to help out by walking them a couple of times. He also played indoor games with them to keep them occupied. I think I am very lucky that my dogs are patient with me when I don't feel well but I always feel bad when I can't get them out as much.
When my friend called later on in the week and asked me if I was feeling up to going for a walk I jumped on the opportunity because it's easier to get out with a friend and it's more motivating. Plus, I had someone with me in case something happened.
The photo I took above is of Phoenix while we waited to meet my friend. Generally she's not one to make funny faces but she heard a weird bird noise over in the bushes and I got that hilarious picture!
We had a pretty good walk. We did 4.8 miles. Phoenix got snarky with one dog but the dog ran up on us from out of nowhere and that's what freaks her out. It wasn't too bad and we went on our way. We came across a bunch of other dogs and she was fabulous. She greeted them all pretty well and the ones we didn't great we did LAT. Zoe was super happy to see my friend because she loves her so much and she had a great time visiting.
I'm hoping that next week will be better and we will get more workouts in! I'm feeling a lot better so I'm hoping the good weather holds out, too.
