Patience! Sisters on Saturday
Zoe is not a patient dog. She never has been. When we are out walking, she does not want to stop and she gets really annoyed when we do. We noticed this the first week of having her. It's pretty funny because when we stop she will huff and sometimes start whining. We've worked on it a lot and she will stop but you can tell it annoys her. In the picture above I asked both dogs to wait for me and they did. Zoe wasn't that thrilled about it!
Have a great weekend everyone!

I know the feeling. Brown dawgs also like to go go go.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't she like to sniff the peemail to get the neighborhood news? My dogs live for that.
ReplyDeleteYep! She doesn't want to stop!
DeleteYup, different minds!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
That is too funny!
ReplyDeleteZoe reminds me of Laika in that way - Laika won't whine but she kind of stomps her feet and almost looks like she's going to have a tantrum when I'm walking slowly. Glad to know Zoe's learning more patience; it's such a nice virtue. I had Laika at the park this week and managed to get her to relax on a bench while lots of people were walking by - I was quite proud at how far she's come along.
ReplyDeletePatience is not in Barley's vocabulary, either. We've worked on it--and she'll wait if I tell her to and in agility she's gotten very good at her start-line stays, but she shoots me death glares the whole time it's happening! The only time she doesn't mind stopping is if I pull out the camera--such a diva.
ReplyDeletePatience is a tough one for some dogs to learn. Our R is not patient, and gets whiny just like Zoe. I think it's an unchangeable personality thing. They can control it but they're NOT happy about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of your green!
Mika is the same way! If I stop to take a pic of something, she whines and whines and whines!!!!!!
