Blue "Blue Bits" & Natural Balance "Lamb Lung Bites" Review

Feed Us Treats! Lots of Treats!

Hi everyone! Happy Tasty Tuesday to you! It's time for our monthly Chewy.com review! If you didn't know, chewy.com is an amazing company that ships your favorite pet products right to your door! They have amazing customer service and their shipping is incredibly fast. This month we have two different treats to tell you about! Let's get this party started!

Blue "Blue Bits" Training Treats - Tempting Turkey Recipe

These are small, moist treats. The treats are made with high-quality protein and whole grains, and the soft, chewy bites are the perfect size for training or just throwing your dog's way whenever they look cute. My husband is very guilty of doing that! These soy-free treats support cognitive development and promote healthy skin.

Key Points:
  • Turkey is a high-quality protein source that's easily digested
  • DHA aids in cognitive development in puppies
  • Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids promote healthy skin and coat
  • Made without wheat, a common allergy trigger for dogs
  • Perfectly sized treat for training

Ingredients include: Deboned Turkey, Whole Ground Brown Rice, Oatmeal, Maple Syrup, Vegetable Glycerine, Whole Ground Potato, Gelatin, Salt, Flaxseed (natural source of Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids), Phosphoric Acid (an acidifier), Natural Smoke Flavor, Salmon Oil (natural source of DHA-Docosahexaenoic Acid), Sorbic Acid (a natural preservative), Calcium Ascorbate (a natural source of Vitamin C), Citric Acid (a natural preservative), Mixed Tocopherols (a natural preservative), Rosemary

Both of the girls went crazy for these treats! They are STINKY! They smell like really potent beef jerky. They are the perfect size for training and are about 3 calories per treat. The package is 4 ounces and you get quite a few. I would definitely get these again.

The next treat we have for review was a total surprise! We didn't know we were getting these but I was happy to include them in the review, especially since my dogs love lamb lung!

Natural Balance Wild Pursuit "Lamb Lung Bites"

Natural Balance Wild Pursuit Lamb Lung Bites are a single ingredient treat that are designed to satisfy your dog's ancestral cravings. This is a grain-free snack made from New Zealand-sourced lamb. The lamb lung treats are dehydrated and are also gluten free. These treats are around 8 calories per treat. They should be broken into smaller pieces for small dogs.

Key Points:
  • Grain and gluten-free treats
  • 100% New Zealand dehydrated lamb lungs
  • High protein
  • Less than 8 calories per piece
  • Recommended for adult dogs
  • Easily break into small pieces for small dogs
  • No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives

Ingredients Include: 100% New Zealand Dehydrated Lamb Lung

These treats are huge but the girls loved them! Phoenix had a harder time eating the whole chunk so I definitely recommend breaking them apart if you have a smaller dog. They are pretty easy to break apart and there is some crumbling so they can be a little messy. This is another super stinky treat that my dogs loved. I also appreciate that they are low in calories. I would get these again!

Thanks so much to Sydney at chewy.com for our snacks this month! Zoe and Phee enjoyed them so much! I would also like to thank the hosts of the Tasty Tuesday Blog Hop! Don't forget to check out the other awesome Tasty posts!

Disclaimer: I am aware there is a lawsuit right now with the Blue company regarding the use of chicken byproducts and poultry byproducts in their food. The packaging does not say that the above treats has byproducts in them and I'm not that worried about it but if you are I would avoid these treats.

Disclosure: We received our treats in exchange for an honest review through Chewy's blogger program. All opinions are my own.

  1. This month was so hard to choose! We wanted like four of the items, these were one of those, but we chose the protein bars. These look to be as great as we suspected they would be!

  3. You guys are so lucky to receive products from Chewy.com, unfortunately it's not available to Canadians at the moment. I'm doing my rounds on other blogs today and I can't stop seeing all of these Chewy products! :)

Those are the type of treats I play hide and sniff with Bain with. The extra stinky scent makes the search even better!
