Boundary Trail!

Phoenix

Happy Fit Dog Friday everyone! This week you might have read about how I took a little spill. Well as soon as I was able to I got them right back out to the park and we spent a lot of time on the Boundary Trail. The Boundary Trail is just what it sounds like. It's the outer trail at the park. It's pretty over grown in a lot of the spots which makes for interesting photos!

This is also pretty much the only area of the park where the grass is still green. The rest of the park has been fried by the ridiculously hot summer we are dealing with!

The girls got a lot of good running in and they had a lot of fun, too! I'm hoping the weather will cool off soon so we can play in the water again. With it being so hot I'm still concerned about algae blooms so we've been avoiding the river.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

What have you been up to lately?

  2. Looks fun. I always thought river water was safer because it is always moving and the bad algae was in the lakes and ponds where the water just sits. We don't go in the water anywhere this time of year, so it doesn't much matter I guess. Keep on running my friends!

    1. Yeah, there's a couple of spots that are still green. I was really mad though, the other day I went out there and found that they killed a bunch of blackberry bushes right by the forest with all the rain forest plants and wildflowers. I'm not happy about it. There's thorns everywhere and it looks ugly.

  9. The girls look so happy in these pictures! We're starting to notice less and less green, too, but it's a sign of fall here! I'm excited for the pretty leaves to return to our pictures soon, but not what comes after that. I'm so not ready for summer to end :)

  13. I took Bain to the river the other day and wondered if dogs mind being hit in the face with weeds and plants because their face is knee length. Probably not though, of course. They always look so happy! Hope you are feeling much better.
