Zoe's Gotcha Day Feast!

If you missed it, yesterday was Zoe's 4th Gotcha Day

Unfortunately, I had an accident on Sunday. I fell down this hill at my apartment complex and got pretty banged up Apparently it was really slippery there! Yikes.

I had so many plans to celebrate Zoe's day but I was too sore to actually do any of them. I was going to take her hiking and then shopping to get a bunch of goodies. Once I'm able to move again, we'll celebrate. I was feeling really bad about not having anything for her so my husband and I made them Pupcakes with peanut butter as the frosting. To say the Pupcakes were a hit would be a massive understatement. They were so excited about them that they were pretty much gone as quickly as we set them down! Luckily I managed to get a few hilarious photos!

The girls were really happy with Zoe's Gotcha Day Feast! It was super fun and easy to make. We used whole grain pancake mix and cooked it with their coconut oil. Probably not the healthiest snack ever but it was fun and it's only one day!

Happy Tasty Tuesday everyone!

  2. Yep, looks like neither pup missed that hike or those store-bought treats one little bit. :)

Hope you feel less banged up soon.

  3. Those are some hilarious pictures! Happy belated gotcha day Zoe!!

I'm sorry to hear about your spill, and I do hope you are feeling better very quickly. One New Year's Eve Delilah gave me a good tug and I thought I'd dislocated my shoulder, it hurt so bad. Hopefully your spill wasn't too serious and you'll be feeling better soon.

    1. Thank you! It's mostly my back and knee that got messed up. I'm hoping they stop hurting soon. Being stuck inside is a total bummer.

I'm sorry about your shoulder! That happened to my MIL at one point. Our family dogs were pretty big, over 70lbs! We used to walk them with gentle leaders. My MIL met a neighbor lady who thought the GL head collars were cruel (both dogs had been properly conditioned to wearing them), so she stopped using them (we were like.. MA!! No!! You need it! She didn't listen). Well one day, the dogs both saw a squirrel behind her, one dog went one way and the other went the other way and they ended up pulling both of her shoulders out. She couldn't walk them for months. Eventually when she was able to walk them again she went back to using the GLs. The pups just don't know their own strength!

  13. Sorry to hear about your accident, I hope you start to feel better soon. Those pupcakes look awesome, and since Laika's gotcha day is coming up and she goes nuts for peanut butter I think I'm going to try them. And you're right - might not be the healthiest, but a gotcha day only comes around once a year. Happy Gotcha Day Zoe!
