Fromm Grain Free Dog Treats! #chewyinfluencer

Hi everyone! It's that time again for our monthly chewy.com review! Chewy.com is one of our favorite companies! They ship all of your favorite pet products right to your door! Chewy has amazing customer service and their shipping is incredibly fast. We received our treats as part of the chewy.com blogger program in exchange for an honest review.

Dogs thrive on variety, Zoe and Phoenix love trying new treats and they were so excited when we received this month's package from chewy.com! This month we got a package of Fromm Four-Star Nutrionals Grain-Free Salmon with Sweet Potato dog treats. These treats are made with wild caught salmon and yummy sweet potato! They are easy on the digestive system and totally delicious! One of my favorite things about Fromm is that they offer dogs a wide selection of food and treats, each carefully prepared in small, controlled batches using real meat, fish, farm-fresh produce and Wisconsin cheese. Their interchangeable recipes are formulated for all life stages and prepared with fresh ingredients delivered daily to Fromm's family facility! How neat is that?

  • Fresh, oven-baked treats made with wild salmon, a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins that not only keep your pup’s skin and coat healthy but also help with cognitive development!
  • Made without grains, a common allergy trigger for dogs
  • Contains fresh cranberries, green beans, carrots and other veggies loaded with antioxidants and vitamins for a delicious and nutritious treat you can feel great about feeding your pup
  • Perfect size for treating
  • Made with USDA-inspected ingredients in the USA

Ingredients Include: Wild Salmon, Pea Flour, Potato Flour, Tapioca, Whole Peas, Chicken Fat, Tomato Pomace, Fresh Cranberries, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Apples, Split Peas, Green Beans, Green Bell Peppers, Celery, Beets, Parsley, Lettuce, Watercress, Spinach.

The girls really liked these treats and they are a great size for my smaller dogs. I didn't feel like I needed to really break them up. I probably wouldn't use these as a training treat but I do think they are a great all around treat or I could use them for their "bed time biscuit". They don't have that awful fishy smell that some other salmon treats do and I would totally get these again.I would recommend checking them out!

Frosty Morning Mole Hunt!

Fall weather is in the air! The other morning when we went to the park, the grass was all frosted over! The dogs love it when that happens because all the smells are frozen in place! It's fascinating watching them. Of course, Zoe loves hunting for moles!

Do you like Fall?

Unhelpful Helpers! Office Dogs and Work Updates!

We're bored! We want to play!

Unhelpful helpers are unhelpful! Although, honestly, I don't blame them for being bored!

I've been working a lot more lately and that means Zoe and Phoenix have gotten a little less attention than usual, which makes for bored dogs. I'm lucky they are welcome at my work, though!

The girls have been doing really well. We actually have a pretty great work routine down. Phoenix helps with orientation for our first classes that don't have dogs, then Zoe does a trick demo towards the end of our sessions. It's been a lot of fun being able to use them for demos. Zoe absolutely loves showing off for a crowd and our clients are amazed at what you can do with a dog. I've been told several times how inspiring my dogs are and that they want to go further with their training, too! It's been so fun helping people teach their dogs tricks and seeing everyone laughing and having a good time. It's my favorite part of my job, hands down.

During one of our last classes, Phoenix actually did a demo in front of other dogs! She did so awesome and she never took her eyes off of me. One of the coolest benefits from working where I work is that my co-workers have been so sweet to Phoenix. They've taken extra time out of their days to make sure she's comfortable and having fun. Phoenix is no longer afraid to go to work with me and she's so much more confident there. It's also been generalized to people outside of work and she's  a lot more friendly to strangers these days. It's been awesome. I'm so thankful to all the people who have been helping me with her.

I really love my job and I have one of the best training mentors I could ask for! Things have been going so well! The only downside is that I'm so busy that it's hard to blog. I'm really trying to keep up, though. We have some fun posts coming soon so stay tuned!

Comfy & Stylish Dog Beds from Molly Mutt! Review

Sometimes you just need a comfortable place to rest your head!

A nice place to sleep is so important for all of our furry friends so I was super excited when we were asked to try out a bed from Molly Mutt! Molly Mutt is a company that specializes in stylish dog duvets and crate covers but they also have various other items like leashes and collars.

The duvets are made from 100% cotton canvas and feature a zipper opening. They are okay to machine wash and dry (on low)! The idea behind Molly Mutt's duvets is that by using our old bedding, clothes and towels it helps to keep our stuff out of landfills.  The owners came up with the idea for duvets after too many trips hauling dog beds to the laundromat. Having a duvet that you can just zip off and throw in the laundry is so much easier!

How it works: It's actually pretty simple and easy! When you order a duvet and stuff sack, you stuff your old blankets or clothes into the stuff sack and then you just zip the duvet over it. You could even use it to cover old dog beds! Our dogs love and are comforted by our scent so by using our old clothes it can help our dogs to feel connected to us even if we are not home.

Molly Mutt also offers personalization where you can get your pets name embroidered onto the bed. We didn't go with this option but it's available for those who are interested in it!

We ordered a medium/large "papillon duvet" and I'm pretty happy with it! The bright colors are absolutely gorgeous and it's probably the most stylish pet bed we've ever had. The bed is big enough so that one dog can stretch out fully. If they curl up, they can share it.

The only downside with the larger size beds is that they need more stuffing and they are a bit heavier to move around. They are also a bit more time consuming to wash if you need to wash all of the bedding that's inside.

Overall I'm really impressed with our dog duvet from Molly Mutt, Zoe, Phoenix and our cats really like it! I would recommend checking them out and I would totally get another one.

Have you ever tried a Doggy Duvet before? What bed would you get from Molly Mutt?

Labor Day Mischief! Office Dogs!

You can't contain me! (Zoe) Meanwhile, Phoenix is the good girl.

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you're all having a fun weekend!

With the way I train my dogs: positive reinforcement, clicker training, shaping, puzzle toys, etc, both of my dogs ability to problem solve would knock your socks off. I encourage them to try stuff and I never want them to be afraid to work things out. They are active thinkers and doers. They are both very quick to pick things up and sometimes because of this they can get into mischief. I do pride myself on my ability to use management to keep them out of trouble but occasionally they outsmart me. Zoe is typically the ring leader and she is the smartest of the two.

Recently I was asked to hold the fort at my work for a pet massage clinic. I didn't need to help out with the clinic, just keep an eye on the building and do some cleaning. The girls went with me.

I knew that when I set up that expen (in the photo above), one if not both of my dogs would figure out how to get out of it. Directly behind Phoenix is a sitting bench that they've both used. I left them in there for 10 minutes so I could air out the building and when I came back and Zoe had escaped!

It was actually pretty hilarious and not a big deal. There's nothing in that office that they can get into. I already did my preliminary sweep of the place before I left them alone. I was just using the expen to keep them away from the glass to prevent barrier frustration with the other dogs walking by and I wanted to see how long it took them to escape out of it if I set it up in the corner.

They are actually really well behaved in there for the most part. They both fell asleep while I was getting some work done for my boss people and we had a pretty awesome afternoon.

Have you ever noticed any problem solving behaviors in your dogs? Tell me about it in the comment section below!

We Have A New Ride!

We are so excited! We "inherited" my inlaw's old Toyota Matrix!

I've been car-less for nearly four years now and having to share a car with my husband has been such a pain in the butt. I'm so excited! The girls finally have their own ride and we will be able to do so many more things! More car rides for everybody! Yay! :D
