Brothers Complete Premium Dog Food: New Look, Same Great Taste!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today we're excited to talk to you guys about one of our favorite brands: Brothers Complete Dog Food! Recently Brothers Complete updated their packaging on their dog food and asked us if we'd like to do another review! We've done a couple of reviews for them in the past and it's always been a wonderful experience. They are an amazing small family-owned company that caters their products to dogs who may suffer from food allergies. They have top notch customer service and are always friendly and helpful! Brothers Complete receives a 5 Star rating on Dog Food Advisor and we definitely agree!

New Look, Same Great Taste!

Brothers Complete offers four different formulas: Lamb & Egg, Venison & Egg, Chicken & Egg and
Turkey & Egg. 

I really appreciate that Brothers Complete has a variety of different proteins. If your pup has food sensitivities you can pick the food with the protein that will work best for them. Zoe and Phoenix do not have food sensitivities but I sympathize with anyone who is going through it with their dog as we have suffered through it with our cat in the past. It can definitely be a struggle to find something that works and it's nice to know there's a company out there that recognizes that some pets have special needs. 

Brothers Complete have designed their kibble with high levels of protein, and over 90% of it is species appropriate animal based protein. They only use ingredients that are sourced in the USA. Brothers Complete includes "selective prebiotics" and "encapsulated probiotics" combined with digestive enzymes, nutrients, and ingredients that are intricately balanced in relation to one another (instead of random quantities that simply fall somewhere in between the high and low limits that AAFCO recommends). Brothers Complete uses eggs in all of their formulas. Eggs are great because they contain all 22 amino acids! They are the only protein source that is 100% bioavailable, which means the body uses them completely!

All of their dog food formulas are grain and potato free! Grains and potatoes tend to be problematic for dogs so it's awesome that they don't include them in their foods. 

Brothers Complete has very high standards for their foods, not only do they make their food in small batches, they are also very careful how the food is stored. They do not allow their food to sit around in hot warehouses, like most companies. The warehouse at Brothers Complete are air conditioned to make sure that the food maintains it's freshness and nutritional bioavailability.

Overall I am still very impressed with Brothers Complete! I really appreciate their care and attention to detail when making products for our dogs. My dogs really liked the food and they are doing really well on it. They also love their biscuits and the chews we've gotten from them in the past, too. I would highly recommend checking them out!

Today I have a review for you on Spring Naturals! We were so excited when were asked to review this food, especially with Thanksgiving on the way!

Turkey Day is almost here and some dogs like Phoenix are sensitive to all the rich foods and are unable to participate in the festivities with people food. Don't worry, though! Spring Naturals has you covered with their Turkey Dinner! That way your beloved pooch can still have the taste of turkey and you can feel like they are part of the celebration!

They also have beef, chicken, lamb and salmon dry formulas available. They also offer a variety of wet foods, too. If you happen to be a cat, that's not a problem! They have kitty food!

Spring Naturals Turkey Dinner is completely balanced, grain free and contains a savory blend of real turkey, whole vegetables and whole fruits. Real turkey is the first ingredient, plus the food also has a combination of protein sources like whole chickpeas, green peas and eggs. The food does not contain any beef, chicken, turkey, lamb or fish meals of any kind.

There is absolutely no wheat, gluten, corn, soy, by-products, artificial preservatives, flavors or colors!

Phoenix does have a sensitive tummy and she will often have a reaction to rich people food, so I am happy that she can still be a part of our Thanksgiving with Spring Naturals without getting sick.

We feed a rotational diet with the girls and they are both doing extremely well on Spring Naturals! We have not had any tummy upsets and even Zoe who is picky with food at times has been eating this food without me having to coax her. Spring Naturals Turkey Dinner is a great dog food and I would recommend checking it out!

Galaxy Dog Treats Review!

Today I have a review for you on Galaxy Dog Treats! I first heard about these treats at the Portland Pet Expo and I am so impressed with them!

We were sent a 7oz. bag of Galaxy Dog Treats and one of their handmade totes!

 

Galaxy Dog Treats is a local Portland Mother-Daughter business who was founded by Natalie (age 11!!) and her mom Kathi. They began by making homemade treats for their own dog, Olivia, an adorable little terrier mix rescue, who is a bit picky. Olivia will bury anything she doesn't like in the yard! She initially buried all of their first recipes until finally one day they came across a mixture that Olivia approved of! They started giving out treats to their family and friends and got very favorable feedback and they decided to start Galaxy Dog Treats!

Zoe and Phoenix completely agree with Olivia's opinion and went wild for these treats!

The treats smell absolutely amazing and they break apart easily, there was no crumbling. I think they'd make a fantastic training treat for any dog.

The Galaxy Dog Treats are made from all natural ingredients and contain no wheat or corn products. The ingredients include: Almond flour, Parmesan Cheese (pasteurized part skim milk, cultures, salt, enzymes), Egg, Butter (pasteurized organic sweet cream, milk), lactic acid, and Water. They use  almond flour because it has a higher protein to carbohydrate ratio than other flours.

They currently only offer one flavor but they are hard at work coming up with more recipes.

In addition to making dog treats, they also make travel totes! The travel tote is the perfect size for carrying poop bags, dog treats and your keys and easily attaches to a leash. It's perfect for those days when you don't feel like carrying a heavier bait bag or your purse.

The girls really enjoyed the Galaxy Dog Treats and I really like the travel tote! The treats smell fantastic and I love that they are local. The Dog Treats and Tote are reasonably priced and they have fantastic customer service. I would highly recommend checking them out!

The Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Dog Food Review

 

I recently took a quiz from The Honest Kitchen "How Human is Your Pet" and we received a free goodie in return! We got three samples of their dehydrated foods! How neat is that?

The Honest Kitchen is a company that makes a variety of different high quality dog and cat foods and they also have different kinds of treats, too! All of their foods and treats are made with human grade ingredients in the USA and delivered right to your door! 

We haven't gotten to try any of their foods yet so I was really excited to get the samples! We got Turkey, Chicken and Fish. The chicken and fish are from their grain free selection and the turkey is from their whole grain selection. My dogs do not have any allergies so grain is not really a concern for us.

Both the chicken and turkey formulas are sourced from free-range, humanely raised animals. The Fish is sourced from wild, line-caught white fish.

I decided to try the Chicken and Turkey this time.
