Alcott Adventure Gear for Dogs Review

Zoe and Phoenix absolutely love going on new adventures! We were so excited when we were given the opportunity to review some items from Alcott! Alcott Adventures is an awesome company that offers "adventure gear for thrill sniffers"! Zoe and Phoenix sure do fit that bill! When they are not learning new tricks, they are out exploring the world whether it's running on the beach or looking for squirrels in the forest or even racing through the tall grass, these girls are always up for anything. Alcott offers a variety of high quality products that make any ordinary adventure extraordinary! Their customer service was wonderful, too! I would definitely recommend checking this company out.

About Alcott Adventures:
At Alcott, we’re committed to bringing adventure and fun into the lives of dogs and dog owners across the country. Whether on land or in water, around the block or across the country, there’s an unforgettable adventure waiting to be had, and we’re ready to help you discover it and make the most of it.

The Mariner Adventure collar is a high quality collar made from nylon and padded with neoprene. It has reflective accents and the color is a very bright blue. I love this collar because it makes both girls highly visible and it's very soft and comfortable for them to wear. The girls wore these collars for several weeks straight, playing in the river and mud and the collar did not pick up any smells or show any dirt. That by itself is amazing. I have not had to wash them, not even when they were wading around with the dead fish after the Smelt run. The collars are beautiful and extremely well made. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

The Mariner Beach blanket is a really nice blanket made with absorbent terry cloth on top and has a waterproof base. The blanket is a great size and measures 50" x 50". The blanket folds up easily and has velcro closures to keep it folded. It also features handles so it's easy to carry around. I haven't made it to the beach yet but I can't wait to try it! I also think it would be great to use for training. The grass in Oregon is always wet and the girls hate lying in it so this blanket will be awesome for when I need one of them to settle while I'm training the other. Also, since it has absorbent terry cloth on top, it could be used as a towel in a pinch if I forget to bring one!

Alcott offers so many amazing products, when I was choosing what items I wanted to review I had trouble deciding. I asked my husband to help me and he immediately wanted to get the sleeping bag. We talked about it and agreed it would be a great item for us since the girls hate the cold and love snuggling up at night. The sleeping bag comes in three sizes: small, medium and large. After measuring the dogs, we ordered a medium. Unfortunately when it arrived it was too small for them. I contacted customer service, they were very nice and they immediately exchanged it for a large. The large ended up working out much better for us, though a large dog would definitely not fit in it. I really wish their sizes were more accurate. The girls are right around 30lbs and are not large dogs by any means.

The sleeping bag unzips completely and I could use both parts for mat work or as intended as a snuggly bed. It's nicely padded and rolls up completely. The sleeping bag is machine washable and also comes with a travel bag. Both girls absolutely love the sleeping bag, Zoe in particular is obsessed with it. We've been leaving it out on one of their beds and Zoe will often ask us to help her get in or try to get in by herself. I love the idea of this and if you have a dog that's around 30 to 40lbs or under this would work well.

You can't go on adventures without a good travel bowl and we were definitely in need of a new one! The Adventure bowl features a 64 ounce capacity and a 24 hour leak proof lining. It folds up really small and is very light. It can be snapped around a leash, strap or belt loop. This bowl is really awesome and we will be getting great use out of it!

With every order, Alcott gives a free gift! The girls were very excited when we opened the box and there were tennis balls inside! These tennis balls are awesome! They are super tough and they squeak! Zoe loves to destroy a tennis ball and so far she hasn't been able to destroy these ones!

We also received samples of the various treats they offer.

Overall, I am thrilled with the items we received from Alcott. Everything is high quality and I am so impressed with the things we got. I can't wait to take the girls on adventures this summer! The customer service I received was top notch. I would definitely recommend checking this company out!

  1. I love that picture of the girls with their noses in the bowl together. So sweet!

  2. Looks like a set of real nice stuff. The collar color looks pretty on the pups!

  3. I had no idea they had sleeping bags for dogs, love it! Great review, thanks for sharing!

  4. I like the idea of the sleeping bags, but my dogs are definitely large. LOL I'm not even sure they would snuggle down in one, but I think it's a good idea.

Thank you for joining the blog hop, I'm off to look at their website.

  5. Very cool! I love outdoor doggy companies. :-)

  6. Wow great gear and great review although I am wondering how the collars would stand up to kidding. :) I also think you need to plan a trip to really try out the gear. Thanks so much for joining the hop.

  7. Nice review! maybe we will put some things on our Christmas list!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley
