Sitting Pretty! B&W Sunday

This has been Zoe's go-to begging trick lately. I'm not sure I love the composition on this one but it's still a funny shot. It's really hard to get nice "sit pretty" photos so I'll take it!

  2. My first Cardigan used to do that to ask for anything he wanted. Oddly, neither Jimmy nor Wilson can hold that pose.

  8. Poodles refuse to beg so we call this command "Be a meerkat."

  9. Great Pic! I rarely can get my dog to sit still far enough to take a good photo.

  10. Zoe looks adorable in this phot! I taught my dogs to sit pretty but they can't hold the pose too long, they sometimes fall over LOL!

  12. Super cute!!!! This next thing is not a criticism, just a question that has bugged me for years. Do you think that "sit pretty" is tough on a dog's spine? I have a very bad spine so I'm hypersensitive to inadvertently hurting my dogs' spines. Yet, Shyla spontaneously "sits pretty" when she's very excited about waving to me. Then, she waves with both paws, which is essentially "sitting pretty" (briefly). I could easily capture it and make it a trick but I'm hesitant. I'm curious to hear what you think about this.

    1. From what I've been told, teaching them to sit pretty strengthens the core and helps to support the back. I hope that helps!

  13. I love sit pretty. I have not seen a pug do it and Kilo topples if he is not supported by the couch or holding my hand in his paws. Great pic XS
