SPIKE Dog Treats Review & Giveaway

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fantastic week! We are super excited because I have a new treat review to share with you! I was recently asked by Petcurean if Zoe and Phee would like to try their Spike treats. I've heard great things about Petcurean before so I knew the girls would be excited to try their treats.

Petcurean is a fantastic company where they create premium quality, nutrient-rich food for both dogs and cats. They also offer a selection of all natural treats as well! The company was started when two good friends got together and decided to open a small family owned operation in Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. They were driven by the idea that pets deserved better food that was made with the same love and care as we put into preparing meals for our own families.

Spike Dog Treats are made with premium quality meat proteins, anti-oxidants and “superfoods” like chia, pomegranate and kale, all lovingly prepared by your friends at Petcurean, who promise you that SPIKE contains only all natural ingredients. Their treats do not conatin any by-products, growth hormones, artificial preservatives, flavors or colors.

SPIKE Grain Free Venison Jerky treats are made using premium quality, grass-fed venison and all natural ingredients. Spike Jerky treats contain superfoods chia, pomegranate and kale which makes them nutrient-rich, high in fibre and packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants!

Ingredients: Venison, pumpkin, molasses, whole chia seeds, pomegranate, kale, mixed tocopherols  (a source of Vitamin E).

SPIKE Grain Free Turkey Jerky treats are made using premium quality, cage-free turkey and all natural ingredients.  Just like the venison treats, the turkey jerky also contain superfoods chia, pomegranate and kale which makes them nutrient-rich, high in fibre and packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Ingredients: Turkey, pumpkin, molasses, whole chia seeds, pomegranate, kale, mixed tocopherols (a source of Vitamin E).

Zoe and Phoenix both loved these treats! They were super excited to try them. They are a jerky-like consistency but are easy to break apart into smaller pieces with minimal crumbling. Both of my dogs considered these to be high value and I will be breaking them up and using them for training. I would definitely get these again and I would recommend checking them out!

ZoePhee was provided with two bags of Spike Jerky Treats to try in exchange for an honest review. We were not monetarily compensated. All opinions are my own. Petcurean is not responsible for the content of this blog post.

Merrick Backcountry Dog Treats! #ChewyInfluencer

Hi everyone and welcome to our monthly chewy.com review! Chewy.com is an awesome company that ships all of your favorite pet products right to your door! They have amazing customer service and their shipping is incredibly fast. They are one of our favorite companies! We received our treats as part of the chewy.com blogger program in exchange for an honest review.

Today we are reviewing Merrick Backcountry: Great Plains Real Beef Sausage Cuts for Dogs. My dogs really enjoy Merrick products so they were super excited when we got this package!

The Merrick Backcountry Beef Sausage treats are a high protein treat that features a wood smoked flavor your dog will go wild for. The treats are grain and gluten free and real beef is the number one ingredient.  These sausage treats are made in the USA.

Ingredients: Deboned Beef, Dried Cultured Skim Milk, Mixed Tocopherols (a preservative), Rosemary Extract.

Both of my dogs absolutely loved these treats. They are a medium sized treat and are easily torn into smaller pieces. I've been cutting them up and using them for training. The sausages are not greasy and don't crumble. They are the perfect sort of treat that I can easily carry in my pocket. I would definitely get these again and I would recommend checking them out!

Wellness Pure Rewards - Venison Jerky Dog Treats #ChewyInfluencer

Hi everyone and welcome to our monthly chewy.com review! Chewy.com is an awesome company that ships all of your favorite pet products right to your door! They have amazing customer service and their shipping is incredibly fast. They are one of our favorite companies! We received our treats as part of the chewy.com blogger program in exchange for an honest review.

Today we are reviewing Wellness Pure Rewards Venison Jerky. Wellness treats are always a huge hit here so the girls were pretty excited to get them!

Wellness Pure Rewards are a highly flavorful, protein-packed jerky treat. They offer a variety of different proteins including: Venison, Beef, Turkey, Chicken & Lamb, Venison & Salmon, Turkey & Salmon. These treats are more than 90% meat! These are grain-free and there are no corn or soy products in them, either. These treats are awesome for training and would be great for dogs who have tummy issues because they have limited ingredients.

Ingredients: Venison, Dried Chicory Root, Cultured Whey, Salt, Lecithin, Garlic, Mixed Tocopherols (a natural preservative)

Like I said above, my dogs are huge fans of Wellness and these treats were definitely a hit. These treats are a bit bigger than what I generally like for a training treat but they are easily torn into smaller pieces and they are also pretty easy to cut up, too. Both of my dogs consider these to be high value and I even used them to teach Phoenix a new trick! I will also be using them in our training classes.

I would recommend checking out Wellness Pure Rewards! We will definitely be getting these again!

Zuke's (2 calorie) Skinny Bakes Review & Giveaway!

If you've been reading my blog for a while you will know that I do a lot of dog training. I'm always looking for new training treats! One of the things that's important to me is finding treats that are small and low in calories because we go through so many of them. I do not want my dogs getting fat from training so imagine how thrilled I was when I found out that Zuke's has a new line of training treats!

Skinny Bakes are a crunchy low calorie training treat that packs a nutritious punch. You can get the Skinny Bakes in 2, 5, 10 or 20 calories and they would make the perfect gift for any dog for Valentine's Day!

We decided to go with the 2 calorie ones and we got them in exchange for an honest review.

There are three different flavors in the 2 calorie Skinny Bakes line: Yogurt & Vanilla, Yogurt & Honey, Yogurt & Maple Syrup.

Brown rice, barley and rice bran plus the protein of yogurt baked into each of these treats. They are made in the USA and do not contain any wheat, corn or soy.

The treats are tiny! Which I was super excited about. The smaller they are the better for training. Zoe demonstrates the small size by balancing one on her nose.

Can we have more?

The girls absolutely love the Skinny Bakes and they were so excited to have them. I really like that they are only 2 calories per treat which means I can use a lot of them without having to worry about the dogs gaining weight. The treats are not messy, although they can get a little sticky if they get moist. If you saw my video of Phoenix Frisbee Flipping the treat I was using after each flip was the Skinny Bakes! (I like to reward with both food and toys to keep things interesting.)

I would definitely recommend checking out Zuke's Skinny Bakes and we will definitely be getting these again!

ZoePhee was provided with treats from Zuke's in exchange for an honest review. We were not monetarily compensated and all opinions are my own. Zuke's is not responsible for the content of this blog post.

Here's your chance to win some treats! We are hosting a giveaway and (1) one lucky winner will receive the three flavors in the 2 calorie Skinny Bakes line. So you will be getting (3) three bags of treats from Zuke's.

The giveaway is open to USA residents age 18 years or older. No purchase necessary and void where prohibited. Giveaway prizes are non-transferable and all entries will be verified.

Natural Balance Wild Pursuit Venison Lung

Zoe is feeling the call of the wild with Natural Balance Wild Pursuit!

Natural Balance Wild Pursuit Venison Lung

Today we are reviewing Wild Pursuit "Venison Lung Bites"! These are a single ingredient dehydrated treat that is sourced from New Zealand.

Ingredients: 100% New Zealand dehydrated venison lung

These treats are grain and gluten free, high in protein and around 8 calories per treat. There are no artificial colors or flavors and no preservatives in them.

Zoe and Phoenix both went wild for these treats. Zoe couldn't wait for me to change the camera settings before she tried these, so the photos are blurry. Oops.

Natural Balance Wild Pursuit Venison Lung

My only complaint with these treats is that they don't break up easily. The chunks are huge and I had to bring in "man power" to break and cut them up. Luckily my husband doesn't mind helping too much. Otherwise these treats are awesome! The dogs love them and consider them to be very high value. I'm going to use the rest of them for training.

I would recommend checking out Natural Balance Wild Pursuit Venison Lung Bites! We will definitely get these again.

There are no artificial colors, by-products, corn, wheat or soy and there are no ingredients from China. The treats are made in the grassy rolling hills of Ireland about 5 miles from Dublin!

The girls loved these treats just as much as they enjoyed the other treats that Vera sent us! The treats are a jerky-like consistency and are easy to cut up. I love that they have health benefits for their hips, joints and skin. Sojos Simply Lamb Dog Treats

chewy.com
Zoe says, "Let's get this party started!"

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a fantastic Tuesday! It's time for our monthly chewy.com review! If you didn't know, Chewy.com is an awesome company that ships all of your favorite pet products right to your door! They have amazing customer service and their shipping is incredibly fast. They are one of our favorite companies! We received our treats as part of the chewy.com blogger program in exchange for an honest review.

Sojos Simply Lamb Treats

This month we are reviewing Sojos Simply Lamb, these treats are a single ingredient treat made with 100% human grade lamb. Zoe and Phoenix were very excited when Mr. N was kind enough to share some of his with them on our walk last week and they were even more excited when they realized they had their own bag!

Sojos Simply Lamb Treats

The treats are:
  • Made from 100% raw freeze-dried lamb
  • Perfect for training & rewarding
  • Made with natural, human-quality ingredients
  • No artificial preservatives
  • No artificial flavors or colors
  • Made in the USA
 Ingredients: Lamb

Sojos Simply Lamb Treats

I've been using these treats for training and the dogs have been having a blast doing their tricks for them! The girls consider these to be high value, so they work extra hard to get them! The treats break apart easily and the only down side is that they are a tad bit greasy, which is sort of weird for freeze dried but that's okay! Zoe and Phoenix really liked these and I would definitely get them again! I would recommend checking out Sojos Simply Lamb and if your pooch doesn't like lamb they have several other proteins available! They also come in turkey, beef, venison, salmon and boar!

ZoePhee was provided with a bag of Sojos Simply Lamb from Chewy.com in exchange for an honest review through their blogger program. We were not monetarily compensated and all opinions are my own. Chewy.com is not responsible for the content of this blog post.

The Best Treat Bag! Dog Training

Happy December everyone! Today I'm joining Dachshund Nola, Cascadian Nomads and Tenacious Little Terrier for the Positive Pet Training Blog Hop! This months theme is "Rewards" but they welcome any positive reinforcement posts.

As a Reward-Based trainer, I like to have treats on me most of the time. I prefer being able to reward my dogs whenever I need to and the possibilities for training situations are endless because I take them to lots of places. (One day, we found a random set of dog agility equipment at a park!!) Using treats is the easiest and most convenient way to do that.
